Dosage form

This product is produced in the form of vaginal capsules by Tehran Darou Pharmaceutical Company and each capsule provides 109 CFU of lactobacillus Casei.

Introduction

Lactobacillus Casei, a beneficial bacterium, is increasingly recognized for its potential role as a vaginal probiotic. As part of the natural flora in the vagina, Lactobacillus Casei contributes to maintaining a healthy vaginal environment supporting a balanced pH level and aiding in the prevention of the overgrowth of harmful microorganisms.

Lactobacillus adheres to the vaginal epithelium and can competitively antagonize the colonization of pathogens. The factors produced by Lactobacillus, such as bacteriocin and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), can inhibit the growth of pathogenic microorganisms and maintain the low pH environment of the vagina.

Use

Strengthening and restoring vaginal microflora

Increasing the success rate of treatment in women with fungal and bacterial vaginosis in simultaneous administration with antifungal and antibiotic drugs

Prevents the growth and colonization of pathogenic microbes and yeasts in the vaginal mucosa

Treatment of recurrent vaginal yeast and bacterial infections

Dosing

one vaginal capsule should be used twice a day for 7 days.

Use 1 vaginal capsule daily as a maintenance treatment for 14 days.

Administration

1.      Wash your hands with warm water and soap. Take out the capsule and immerse it in a bowl of lukewarm water for a few seconds. After its surface becomes slippery, lie on your back and insert the capsule deeply into the vagina with your middle finger. Then lie down for 10 minutes. Wash your hands after use.

2.      It is better to use an applicator for vaginal use to insert the capsule. In this case, it is recommended to use the available applicators for vaginal tablets.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

According to recent studies, the safety of probiotics has been fully proven throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Warnings and Precautions

In case of sexual intercourse, it is not recommended to use a condom or diagram of latex spermicides (due to the possibility of tearing or inactivation)

If you do not moisten the capsule before use, the capsule may break and the contents may be discharged. (Using a pad is recommended)

No specific side effects and toxicity cases have been reported for probiotics. All probiotics exist naturally in the body and are all registered as GRAS (Generally Recognized as Safe) agents by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). However, side effects such as redness, itching, burning in the genital area, or abnormal discharge may occur.
