Pharmaceutical Company.
Introduction
Figel plus® intestinal capsules containing
ferrous glycine sulfate equivalent to 80 mg of elemental iron plus 1 mg of
folic acid are one of the best nutritional supplements to help improve iron
deficiency anemia. This product helps to make red blood cells by
supplying folic acid (vitamin B9). Iron is one of the most important elements
in the body, which plays a role in the production of hemoglobin in the blood.
Therefore, iron deficiency causes a decrease in the production of hemoglobin
and, as a result, anemia. Ferrous glycine sulfate is formed by binding
amino acid glycine to ferrous sulfate salt, which is used as a source of iron
to treat iron deficiency anemia. Hemoglobin plays an important role in
maintaining the energy level and normal functions of the body by supplying
oxygen to different body tissues. Due to its resistant coating, Figel Plus® is
not affected by the acidic environment of the stomach and opens and absorbs
iron in the absorption window in the digestive system, and solves iron
deficiency caused by malabsorption or increased body need for it. The iron and
folic acid present in this composition play an essential role in the structure
of hemoglobin, oxygenation and the correct functioning of various cells.
Dosing and administration
The usual dose for adults and
children over 6 years old is one capsule per day.
To reduce
digestive complications, it is better to use this product on an empty stomach
so that it has fewer interactions and better absorption. But if you feel
stomach pain, it can be taken with food. Iron absorption will be better in an
acidic environment, so in case of taking antacids, at least 2 hours should be
taken before consuming this product. Consuming with acidic juices improves
absorption.
