This product is produced in the form of enteric coated capsule by Tehran Darou Pharmaceutical Company and each capsule contains 187 milligrams of peppermint oil.

Introduction

Peppermint oil, derived from the peppermint plant (Mentha piperita), is a natural essential oil celebrated for its potential therapeutic properties.

Peppermint oil and its constituents exert smooth muscle relaxant and anti-spasmodic effects on the lower esophageal sphincter, stomach, duodenum, and large bowel. Moreover, peppermint oil can modulate visceral and central nervous system sensitivity. Taken together, these effects suggest using peppermint oil both for improved endoscopic performance and for treating functional dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome.

Use

Relieving stomach pain and bloating, regulating bowel movements in patient with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

Dosing and administration

Adults and people over 15 years old: one capsule 3 times a day, if the symptoms are severe, the dosage can be increased to 2 capsules 3 times a day.

Take the capsule with a glass of water.

Avoid taking capsules immediately after meals.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

It is not recommended to use this product during pregnancy and breastfeeding. In case of being pregnant or breastfeeding consult your doctor.

Peppermint oil has been safely used in many clinical trials. Possible side effects of peppermint oil taken orally include heartburn, nausea, abdominal pain, and dry mouth. Rarely, peppermint oil can cause allergic reactions.
