This product is produced in the form of soft gelatin capsule by
Tehran Darou Pharmaceutical Company and each capsules contains 1000 milligrams
evening primrose oil and 10 milligrams of vitamin E
Introduction
Evening primrose oil, extracted
from the seeds of the evening primrose (Oenothera biennis), is noted for
its rich content of gamma-linoleic acid (GLA), an omega 6 fatty acid. research
suggests that its GLA content may have an impact on alleviating premenstrual
syndrome (PMS) symptoms and menopausal discomfort.
Evening primrose oil is
believed to help regulate prostaglandin levels, potentially mitigating
menstrual related breast tenderness, mood swings, and cramping. In menopause,
the anti-inflammatory and hormone-regulating properties of evening primrose oil
are theorized to support the relief of menopausal symptoms, including, hot
flashes, mood disturbance, and vaginal dryness.
Even Oil Plus® also contains vitamin E, which has
been studied for its potential role in reducing symptoms of premenstrual
syndrome.

Dosing and administration
The recommended dose for taking Even Oil
Plus®
is one to two capsules daily Take it with or after food.

Warning and Precautions
Evening primrose oil has the risk of lowering the seizure threshold
in patients with epilepsy or patients treated with drugs that lower the seizure
threshold, so it should not be used in patients with a history of epilepsy.
Evening primrose oil might increase the chance of bruising and
bleeding. Don't use it if you have a bleeding disorder.
Drug interactions
Evening
primrose oil might slow down the metabolism of lopinavir / ritonavir. Taking
evening primrose oil along with lopinavir / ritonavir might increase the
effects and side effects of lopinavir / ritonavir.
Taking evening
primrose oil with phenothiazines might increase the risk of a seizure in some
people.
Evening
primrose oil might slow blood clotting. Taking evening primrose oil along with
medications that also slow blood clotting might increase the risk of bruising
and bleeding.
Side effects
Due to the natural origin of Evening primrose oil, this product is
well tolerated in recommended doses and has no obvious side effects, however side
effects such as moderate digestive problems and nausea may occur.
